We believe that having the best vision possible is essential for a good quality of life and should not be taken for granted. We also believe that access to good eye care should be equitable for everyone. To uphold our values, Teen Vision has organized multiple Charity Used Eyeglasses Drives, collecting over 5,500 pairs of gently used eyeglasses for adults and children. We have donated them to Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard in Ambler, PA, Face to Face in Philadelphia, PA, Lions Clubs International, Hope for Haiti, New Eyes for the Needy, and Liberia, Africa. We continue to have charity eyeglasses collections because there is always a need for more eyeglasses.
During the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, Teen Vision had turned its attention to sew face masks and donating them to health care workers and the general public. To date, we have sewed and donated 134 face masks. We are also committed to help people who are food insecure and we donated nutritious food to Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard.
